Selling real estate in Whatcom County is my passion. I work out of the John L. Scott office in Bellingham, Washington and love my job. After years of working in another field, I finally made the switch to real estate and have never looked back. The job suits me perfectly in many ways and it is a real pleasure to love going to work each day. I grew up commercial fishing in Bristol Bay, Alaska on a salmon gillnet boat. I crewed and skippered for fifteen consecutive summers.  Prior to real estate, I earned my Masters in Teaching and taught middle school Math, English and Science in Whatcom, Skagit and Island County.  After ten years of teaching, I left the field of education and started a new career in real estate. It has been a great choice. I work with people of all walks of life. I educate and guide them into great investments and homes and I set my own schedule. What more could I ask for?
Whatcom County is a wonderful place to live. I have lived here since 1988 and I know it well. I love having the opportunity to share my knowledge of this amazing county with others. I feel that I am not a sales person, but rather an educator. My job is to ensure you are getting the most for your money or the most money for your house. I will guide you through the area and let you know the pros and cons associated with each neighborhood. I stay very up to date on the market and can help you understand why a particular home is a good value or perhaps overpriced. I am fortunate to have great colleagues in the title, escrow, mortgage and inspection industries.
